eCasts

AABB’s eCasts are 60-90-minute interactive, online programs offering in-depth information on an important topic in the field, and include a question-and-answer period with leading expert(s). Participants will need access to a computer with an active Internet connection to participate.

eCast Group Viewing (learn more).

Earn continuing education credit while keeping up to date on enhancements to patient and donor health and safety. Purchasing a single viewer eCast allows that one participant to receive CE/CME credits when applicable. Group viewing eCasts offer CE/CME credits to all registered group participants.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies and CME Outfitters, LLC. CME Outfitters LLC. is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

eCast Group Viewing

AABB knows the value of learning together as a group but with COVID-19 bringing everyone together to share the experience in person may still not be an option for your team. Given this, AABB will continue its current process for access to the live and on-demand eCasts for group viewing to facilitate learning:

  • AABB requires that all participants that would generally convene in a room each register as a single viewer for your registered Group Viewing eCast (including the group viewing coordinator). To facilitate this change, AABB will provide language and instructions for you to share with your team, which includes (sample language you will receive from AABB):
    • Register for the single viewer program via the AABB Store {AABB will provide the direct link to the program on our Store}. Each participant that plans to attend the live program must register one hour prior to the start of the eCast (generally by 1pm Eastern Time) to allow time for AABB to provide the GoToWebinar access instructions by email.
      • If you are an AABB member or have an account already with AABB just log in and continue with registration.
      • If you are not a member or do not have an account with AABB, then you will need to create an account to continue.
    • Once you have reached the payment section simply enter in {AABB will provide a promocode} as the promocode to receive a complimentary registration.
    • Access instructions from AABB will be provided for the live program via email approximately 1-3 business days prior to the live program. Registration includes access for both the live and on-demand eCasts.
    • After the live eCast has concluded you will be able to access your account on the AABB Education Platform to complete the program evaluation, earn continuing education credit and print your certificate of attendance (same information to access your education account used to register for the program as a single viewer).
  • If you are still planning to participate in a group environment, each participant must still register for the single viewer program so that we can grant access to each participant to the AABB Education Platform to earn CE/CME credit and print his/her certificate (access will only be granted to registered single viewers).
  • An attendance log will not be provided for live eCasts.
